Project Type: Distribution facility Client: FedEx/Schueler Group Construction Cost: $8,000,000 Square Footage: 175,000 SF KZF Design provided the architectural and structural foundation design and document services for a new, 175,000 SF FedEx Ground Distribution Center building located in Lebanon, OH. The project was delivered in a design-build model with a very aggressive schedule. The process equipment, including sorting and distribution conveyor systems were coordinated with the building design by KZF. In addition to the process equipment, this facility also included shipping/receiving areas, offices, and support areas. KZF worked closely with the contractor to quickly understand the program, prepare documents, secure all required permits and approvals in short order, and commence construction ahead of schedule. The project also required significant coordination and cooperation with local, county and state officials to gain final approvals, which the KZF and the contractor worked cooperatively in securing in a timely manner.
