Hamilton Caster will break ground at 1637 Dixie Highway next week on a major $6M plant expansion adjacent to its existing manufacturing facility.
The new 65,000 SF facility will offer manufacturing space as well as office space and extend Hamilton Caster’s lot to 6.2 total acres, expanding under-roof square footage from 102,000 to 162,000 SF.
The facility is expected to be completed in October. Hamilton Caster added employees throughout 2019 to meet production needs in advance of the new space.
“In our current setup, we often need to run products from one place to another as they move through the manufacturing process,” said Dave Lippert, President and member of the fourth generation of family ownership. “The acquisition of the former Hamilton Inn is going to allow us to expand operations while at the same time creating a more streamlined process.”
The new building will become Hamilton Caster’s new corporate offices. The new facility will house fiber lasers, robotic welders, CNC-Machines and a powder paint system.

KZF Design is the building architect, and Cincinnati-based Oswald Company is under contract to construct the new building.
Hamilton officials have said the repurposing of the land promotes continued urban renewal of the city’s east side.
