The Shoppes at Anderson Towne Center recognized by Commercial Real Estate Development Association
CINCINNATI, OHIO (November 13, 2018) — KZF Design is proud to announce The Shoppes at Anderson Towne Center was named 2018 Retail Deal of The Year at the annual “Night of the Stars” awards program held by the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
Check out the recent Cincinnati Business Courier article on their website.
The Shoppes at Anderson Towne Center is a two-building development consisting of 18,000 square feet of Class A shopping and dining space, for which KZF Design provided architecture, urban design, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. The project was developed and designed in close coordination with Anderson Township to realize a key project of the Downtown Anderson Vision Plan, also developed by KZF, working with the Township. The Downtown Anderson plan reflects the Township’s desire to return an automobile-oriented space to a pedestrian-friendly environment while encouraging private development and economic growth within the Township.
The development of retail buildings and a public plaza on the corner of Beechmont Avenue and Wolfangel Road is part of a future larger expansion of the Anderson Towne Center Kroger store.
The plaza has two unique areas; an active space for gatherings, music, and events, with restaurant patio space abutting pedestrian areas to attract patrons. A second, quieter plaza is located away from the street and features a covered arbor, under which shoppers and diners can relax. Each building in the development is designed to be viewed from all four sides and provides unique tenant opportunities throughout. Strategically-designed hardscape elements shield back-of-house services while allowing for retail ease of access and opportunities for public art installations along Beechmont Avenue.
NAIOP is a leading commercial real estate industry provider of networking opportunities, educational programs, research on trends and innovations and legislative representation.
KZF is consistently ranked among the top architectural and engineering firms in the city. While based in Cincinnati, KZF Design’s reach includes work throughout the U.S. and around the globe.
Kroger Real Estate teamed up with Viking Partners to develop the outlot property. Cushman & Wakefield served as the retail broker. The project was constructed by Cintech Construction.
