Move Expands, Refocuses and Strengthens Public Sector Practice
CINCINNATI, OHIO [February 20, 2019) — Following another successful year of growth, KZF Design is expanding its approach to servicing its roster of federal and local government clients. The Cincinnati-based architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm is branching its government practice into two design studios, the Federal Government Group and the Civic & Public Safety Group. These two groups will continue to be a part of KZF’s public-sector business units, led by Senior Vice President Doug Marsh.
The Federal Government Group will be led by Greg Hutzel, RA, PMP, and will continue KZF Design’s long history of designing projects for federal agencies such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, NASA, the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense.
The Civic & Public Safety Group will be led by Vice President Scott Csendes, AIA, PMP, and will focus on projects for state and local government clients, such as Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren counties, the cities of Blue Ash, Cincinnati, Covington, and Mason, and many local municipalities such as Anderson, Deerfield, Delhi, Symmes, and Sycamore townships. The Group will focus will be on the design of fire and police stations, civic buildings, community centers, administrative buildings, correctional facilities and jails.

Coinciding with the restructuring of our government market, KZF has promoted Jeff Evans, RA, to Senior Vice President, focusing on private-sector markets. Jeff will be responsible for the overall operations and development of our Commercial & Industrial Group led by Randy Schultz, PE, PMP, and the Workplace Design Studio led by Tricia Downing.
Together, this team brings a substantial level of design leadership, customer service, and technical expertise to KZF’s clients. Combined with an ongoing internal transition to the next generation of owners and leaders, KZF is setting the foundation for the next 20 years as a locally-owned design firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
