KZF Design is helping AtriCure double its manufacturing footprint in the region with the recent multimillion-dollar acquisition of an industrial property in Warren County. AtriCure is a medical device maker best-known for its products used to treat atrial fibrillation.
This will be the third major project KZF Design has completed for the manufacturer in the last seven years.
We are proud to assist AtriCure by providing design services for the redevelopment and manufacturing expansion of the 34,000 SF existing building located on Innovation Way in Mason, Ohio. This facility is designed to increase AtriCure’s assembly capacity and support future growth.
KZF is providing due diligence, master planning, and conceptual design services through construction documents for this project.
Excerpt from Cincinnati Business Courier article dated June 1, 2021:
The 34,000-square-foot building will double the company’s ability to assemble product, Sam Privitera, AtriCure’s CTO, said. Overall, build-out will take about 18 months to complete, including 12 months for renovations and six months to obtain necessary qualifications and regulatory approvals.
We’re going to duplicate all the assembly space we have in our existing headquarters building, both clean room and non-clean room and packaging capabilities. AtriCure continues to grow, and we’re committed to the community of Mason and state of Ohio.
Sam Privitera, AtriCure’s CTO
The company has selected Oswald as its general contractor and KZF Design has been commissioned for the principle design work. AtriCure has worked with both downtown-based firms in the past, Privitera said.
