Construction on the standalone, 67,000 SF, three-story building is slated for an October completion with a November opening. Ground broke in March 2020.
The project will bring the Heart & Vascular Institute’s 30-plus multi-specialty physicians and 30 advanced practice providers under one roof. The overall price tag is $20 million.
The new Edgewood facility will house several medical specialists and services, including:
- Cardiac electrophysiology
- Cardiac surgery
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- Outpatient cath lab
- Advanced Heart Failure Management Center
- Structural Heart and Valve Center
- Cardiac diagnostic services
- Cardiovascular genetics
- Cardiac clinical trials
The building additionally will offer diagnostic services on the ground floor with an on-site echo lab, a vascular lab and cath lab. The building will also house research space, Suresh said.
Crescent Springs-based Zalla Companies is working as the developer for the Edgewood project, and Pilot Contracting Corporation is serving as construction manager. St. Elizabeth is also partnering with Casler Design Group as the interior architect, KZF as the exterior architect and KLH as the project engineer.
