KZF is teamed with two local, Akron-area architectural firms to design two new fire stations for the City of Akron. Station #2 is a 14,000 SF fire station, replacing the existing Station #2 on its current site. Hasenstab Architects is the local architect, and the City of Akron paired KZF with Hasenstab to provide a new three-bay station that includes living quarters for firefighters as well as a neighborhood police office for neighborhood outreach and interaction.
KZF is teamed with Mann Parsons Gray Architects to design the new Station #4, that will replace the current Station #4 on a new site. This 38,000 SF two-story facility will include the administrative offices and large training room for the City of Akron Fire Department.
KZF has provided programming and schematic design services for both projects and is continuing as a consultant through the final design development and construction document phases of the projects.
