The sleek, modern glass pavilion houses a carousel featuring hand-crafted characters and rides that harken back to an earlier era and promises to provide future generations with a treasured tradition. The glass walls provide panoramic views from within of the Riverfront in all its splendor, and a compelling visual from without. Truly a sight to behold, drawing visitors to the park with lights, colors, movement and sound.
A triumph of design and engineering, Carol Ann’s Carousel designers met the challenges of the site and the desire to make the facility operational year-round. The glass doors allow for open interaction with the outdoors when weather permits. Located at street level beneath the Carousel is the Anderson Pavilion, which is available to rent for events and celebrations. Carol Ann’s Carousel is a signature landmark within the Riverfront Park, reflecting the Queen City’s pride in its heritage and history as well as its visionary approach to the planning and design of active and engaging public spaces.
