CCPA’s High school program needed more space and better space to achieve student success. In outgrowing the existing facility – the former West End Health Center – a need was identified for five additional classrooms as well as specialized classrooms for more authentic learning to occur. The existing site has adequate space to accomplish this.
CCPA and KZF engaged in a design process which started with Visioning, development of a CCPA High School Master Plan and a Concept Design based on the Master Plan, before moving into schematic design and eventually construction documentation for Phase 1.
The final $5.6 Million expansion includes a two-story addition, seven classrooms, chemistry and biology labs, as well as a student commons area with cafeteria. The project also includes renovations of existing spaces into office areas, reception, restroom, and intervention room
