160,000 SF/ Six buildings
As part of a design/build team, KZF provided full design services including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architecture and interior design for six, 26,500 SF single-story dining facilities. Each facility was planned and equipped to feed approximately 1,300 personnel in 1.5 hours, three times per day, 365 days per year as well as functioning as an architecturally-significant community gathering point. The buildings were designed to complement other architecture in the surrounding area. Clerestory elements were provided to provide additional natural light into the building, while window placement allowed for views of the prominent local mountains. The project was designed to meet all Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection requirements to meet LEED® Silver certification standards.
