KZF Design provided architectural design services for the renovation of the exterior surfaces of multiple housing facilities on the NKU campus. The work included examination and assessment of exterior surface condition, exterior aesthetics design, and the development of contract documents and performance of construction administration for the repair of the exterior surfaces of 15 multi-unit residential facilities, a dining/office building, and a storage garage. The building renovation scope for all units included rehabilitated EIFS siding, trim, fascia, overhangs, gutters, downspouts, paint and the replacement of the roof on Norse Hall. In less than 26 days, the KZF team was able to do extensive fieldwork, including nearly 100 test holes, and gather, sort and process all the information while simultaneously developing a set of bid and construction documents.
