Perrysburg, Ohio is located in Wood County in northwestern Ohio, with a population of over 20,000. The fire department provides fire and emergency medical services, responding to approximately 2500 calls per year. KZF Design teamed with the The Collaborative, a Toledo architectural firm, to provide full architectural/engineering services for a new 22,000 SF Fire Headquarters Station. The new station includes four double-depth drive through apparatus bays, living quarters for seven full-time crew (with the ability to expand to 12), offices for the department administrative staff and a training room that will also serve as the back-up emergency operations center for the city. This station will include a tornado shelter in accordance with the newly adopted Ohio Building Code.
