KZF provided planning services to the Village of Woodlawn and City of Wyoming to develop plans for safety improvements along Springfield Pike (SR 4). Proposed work includes a road diet, wide sidewalks, on-road bike facilities, high-visibility crosswalks, medians and pedestrian refuge islands, curb bump outs, bus stop improvements, landscaping and gathering spaces.
A core focus of the project is a gateway between the two communities which will serve to improve the visual character and quality of this shared gateway, encourage redevelopment, soften the transition, and increase connectivity between jurisdictions along the Springfield Pike corridor.
