KZF provided full architecture and engineering services for a new fire station in Violet Township. The free-standing station is approximately 16,000 SF, with three apparatus bays, living quarters for eight fire and EMS personnel, a training room, fitness room, and operations support spaces. To help the Township get the best value for their budget and design a station that will serve a growing community for years to come, a multi-step programming process was utilized to evaluate the Department’s needs and projected facility use. This process included questionnaires for end user input, detailed room data sheets and diagrams and conceptual floor plans.
