Through the implementation of their master plan, the City of Xenia, Ohio issued an RFP for redevelopment of the 5.25-acre Xenia Towne Square and former Kmart site in downtown Xenia. The design team crafted a vision to revitalize the struggling downtown retail center including diverse retail, restaurant and office uses that fit into the context of the historic downtown Xenia. Reestablishing the street grid and building fabric, the development intentionally connects to surrounding retail, hospitality, restaurant and residential uses. These connections will draw pedestrians/bicyclists from surrounding areas to this downtown area an reclaim its cultural center at the historic heart of the city.
